Ice- Cream Van Children across the school enjoyed an ice-cream yesterday funded by the PA. It was a wonderful day with lots of smiling faces.

Green Schools Flag Raising and Amber Flag raising Yesterday as a school we celebrated the raising of our Green Flag and Amber Flag. Our invited guest Keith Connelly, a park ranger who works closely with the school raised both flags for us. A big thank you Ms. Power, Ms. Nolan, Ms. O’Loughlin and Ms. Doherty along with all pupils in the school for organising and participating in such a wonderful event.
Uniform and PE tracksuit Drive The PA are organising a uniform drive which will take place today at 2.40pm and tomorrow at 12 noon. If you have any uniforms or school tracksuits that you no longer have use for and that are in good condition, please leave them at reception. All uniforms are free and no exchange is necessary.
School Requisites 2024-2025 can now be paid via Aladdin for the upcoming school year. Please pay no later than Monday 2nd September. If you are having difficulty, please contact the school for a payment plan. Thank you
Code of Behaviour A revised Code of Behaviour will be piloted next year. This is available on our website in the Section 'About Us', 'School Policies'.
School Holidays We will break for the school holidays tomorrow Friday 28th June. Junior and Senior Infants will finish school at 11.50am and 1st and 2nd Class will finish school at 12 noon. School will reopen on Thursday 29th August 2024.
Lucan United invites ALL GIRLS to attend a free taster football session on Sunday the 7th of July at 11-1pm at Airlie Heights in Lucan.

Staffing
I will be going on maternity leave for the next while and in my absence, Mr. Coleman will be acting up as Principal and Ms. Conway will act up as Deputy Principal. We wish some members of staff the very best as they embark on a new chapter in their lives, Amelia Parish, Ms. O’Reilly, Ms. Holzle, Mr. Kelly, Ms. McDermott, Ms. Gillen, Ms. Palmer, Ms. Gorman, Ms. Weafer, Ms. Barnes and Ms. Nic Suibhne. We thank them all for their wonderful dedication to the school and for always doing their very best for the pupils of St. Thomas’ JNS. We wish them the very best in their future endeavours.
