2025-2026 School Calendar

Tracksuit

The brand-new St Thomas JNS tracksuit has arrived in Bernard Owens. Orders can now be taken from Bernard Owens in Leixlip. Please see the following for more information:

Parents Association Subs

All parents can now pay the Parents Association Subscription on Aladdin. The sub is €10 and this helps the Parents Association further develop the school.

Tesco Community Fund

When visiting Tesco Dodsboro to do your shopping, please be sure to ask for the Tesco Blue Tokens and to put them in the St. Thomas JNS Parents Association box. The Parents Association are looking for the community to support the school to invest in new technology for the children. Please be sure to spread the word that this in Tesco in Dodsboro.

BOM Agreed Report

  • Thank you to the Parents Association for giving their time to the school. The Board of Management are very grateful to all members of the Parents Association who work tirelessly for the good of the school.
  • We have applied for Emergency Works to take place in the school and we are now awaiting a decision from the Department of Education.
  • Over the coming weeks, we will be completing the evacuation lines in Scoil Aine yard by having the 22 class lines painted.
  • Work has begun on the Nurture Room in the school and we hope to have this room ready for term three.

Coicís na Gaeilge

As March begins, we look forward to Coicís na Gaeilge in the school. Coicís na Gaeilge will take place from March 10th to March 21st where there will be a wide range of fabulous Gaeilge games, lessons and activities throughout the school.

Dates for the diary

April 4th – School closes at 11.50 for junior and senior infants and 12.00 for first and second class for in school training.

April 7th – First Confession for second class pupils preparing for First Holy Communion.

May 24th – First Holy Communion for second class in St. Patrick’s Church.

May 26th – Parents Association host a party in Scoil Aine for the children in second class.

May 27th – County Photos will be in the school for the Communion Photos.

Principals Note

Please be careful when driving in and around the school when dropping or collecting your child as there are over 1,200 children between the two schools.
