The school endeavours to support each pupil's particular needs through a differentiated programme in class, with support teaching also from additional staff members. Parental consent is required by the school where a pupil is identified as requiring additional support both within and outside the class. Observation and assessment procedures are in place at all class levels to identify the individual needs of each pupil. If particular assistance is required from a support teacher, parents will be notified. A Care Team consisting of a number of staff members is in place in school. This group will formulate strategies to assist pupils for whom there are persistent concerns.
